Velvet Solitaire
Sources used for the game rules
These references establish common rules and terminology. The automated engine tests remain the source for product-specific behavior.
Reference rules
Bicycle Cards is used for the traditional Klondike and Spider layouts and their core movement rules.
Pagat provides broader Solitaire terminology, variant context and a bibliography of card-game references.
Product behavior
Velvet Solitaire tests its own engines for every product-specific statement, such as unlimited Klondike recycling, three Pyramid passes and TriPeaks King-Ace wrapping.
Differences between a reference rule and this implementation are stated directly on the relevant game page.
Statistics and history
Win rates and historical claims are excluded unless a primary study or a clearly attributable reference supports them.
A source is checked again when a rule page changes materially.
